So my favourite shopping buddy @MrTimChan came to town this weekend so it was all about getting ready for fall! The day was exhausting but super fun. We experimented with a few looks he thought I would try for fall and I managed to even buy a few things. Thanks to The Bay for my latest haul. Looking at it now, I see a pattern but I really don’t want to return anything to the store. Take a look and let me know what you think? Have I gone pattern crazy? What would you return?
I love this sweater from The Hudson’s Bay signature collection! I also got it for a deal and a half! Stay or Go?
This Peter Nygard wrap dress was another steal at just….wait for it…. $27!! And it’s a size smaller than I usually buy! No need to ask for your advice it stays!
Another Peter Nygard dress with an uneven tie front. It’s a size bigger but it looks really nice and I can pair it with tights for winter. Is it too similar to the dress above. Should it stay or should it be returned?
Love this short sleeve stripped number. I’m not always down for the horizontal stripes but what you’re not seeing are the peak a boo sleeves. It looks way better on than it does on the hanger. I’ve already worn it so it stays!
Return of the black and white pattern. #Sigh. It was a big $12 dollars and it has the little zipper back detail which you know I’m obsessed with now. Do I need it though? Should it stay or be returned?
If you haven’t hit The Bay go. The sales as you can see are pretty amazing and even if you’re not going back to school, everyone needs a little something new for fall.
I love summer dresses. I picked this one up at an end of season sale at Voluptuous. I’m glad I bought it too, I wore it out to a rooftop party with friends and it was perfect for dancing the night away. It was also perfect for showing off the girls! *wink
It’s time for another Look Of The day. Meet Petal!
Even the rain couldn’t dampen her spirits. Petal is a mom of 2 who is always ready for some fun in the city. She describes her style as simple, comfortable and affordable and anything but soccer mom! I love her green dress, it’s perfect for a rooftop summer party.
What do you think of Petal’s style? Don’t forget to send me your Street Style pics at curvesandcake.com
Welcome to my first street style that doesn’t feature me! Meet Mansa!
Mansa is a busy professional from Toronto and describes her style as “casual clothing with flamboyant accessories”. She caught my envious eye with this floor length dress and great earrings. Her whole outfit is fun and effortless.
What do you think of Mansa’s look? You can send me your street style pics at firstname.lastname@example.org!
As a tall woman it’s hard to find dresses this long so as soon as I tried this dress on I fell in love! I don’t have anything in my closet this colour and I’m not sure why it has taken this long. I also don’t think I’ve received as many compliments on any outfit as I did with this dress which was a total impulse buy. I know I won’t be able to rock this dress too far into next season but I think the colour will definitely inspire my fall wardrobe this year.
